Founder and Overseer
Dr. Kerwin B. Lee started Berean Christian Church on December 5th of 1995. Since that time, the church has expanded to three locations.
He is the Senior Pastor of the DeKalb and Henry county locations.
Dr. Kerwin B. Lee
Dr. Kerwin B. Lee is the Senior Pastor and Founder of Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, GA. Dr. Lee is also the founder of "A Word for the Times, Inc.", a non profit ministry committed to providing exhortation, instruction and motivation for the Body of Christ through biblical and practical teaching/preaching. He is the author of several books: Winning the Battle of Negative Emotions, Finding Joy in the Word of God, Feeding Your Soul with the Word of God and The ABC's of Church Leadership. He also has a television and internet ministry that reaches people nationally and internationally.
Dr. Lee was raised in Los Angeles, California and after graduating from high school, he attended Central Arizona College on a basketball scholarship, where he obtained an Associates degree. He continued his studies at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, also on a basketball scholarship, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. While in Alaska, he accepted his call to preach and prepare for full-time ministry. Seeking to develop himself ministerially, he moved to Atlanta and enrolled at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) Morehouse School of Religion and received his Master of Divinity in Christian Education. He later matriculated through Luther Rice University and earned a Doctorate of Ministry.
He is happily married to Yolanda Thomas Lee and they are the proud parents of two sons, Kerwin II and Kenard.
First Lady Yolanda Lee
First Lady Yolanda T. Lee, born and raised in New Orleans, is the youngest of seven siblings. She holds a Bachelor's in Business Administration from Loyola University and a Master's in Christian Counseling from Luther Rice College. Throughout her career, she's been dedicated to preparing young people for college and life, serving in counseling and advising roles at institutions like Emory University and Georgia Tech.
In ministry, she supports her husband, Dr. Kerwin B. Lee, at Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, GA. She leads the Women's Ministry, Couple's Ministry, and Sister-to-Sister care system. Passionate about global outreach, she's participated in mission work in South Africa, Liberia, Uganda, and Colombia. First Lady Lee is also involved in teaching biblical studies, conducting workshops, and speaking at conferences. She is happily married with two adult sons and a granddaughter.

Gwinnett Senior Pastor
Dr. Kevin B. Lee
Dr. Kevin B. Lee is the Senior Pastor of Berean Christian Church - Gwinnett. Pastor Kevin, as he is affectionately known, served as the Associate Pastor at Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain, GA for 3 years and as the Youth Pastor for 9 years. Prior to accepting a position at Berean Christian Church, he served in youth ministry for over 16 years in churches located in Fort Worth, Texas; Greensboro, North Carolina, and Stone Mountain, GA.
Dr. Kevin B. Lee is the Founder of KBL Ministries. A ministry focused on enhancing parents with effective parenting skills, empowering adult leaders with creative teaching skills, and equipping young people to live victorious spirit-filled lives.
Dr. Lee earned a Doctorate of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio. His dissertation was on empowering and training adult leaders to effectively work with children and youth.
He received a Master's of Religious Education and Master's of Divinity from Southwestern Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Additionally, he obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Langston University.
He is truly gifted in preaching and teaching to children, youth and adults alike. Many have been challenged and changed because of the inspirational words of Pastor Kevin.
He is married to Karen Foushee-Lee and they have two children, Kellie and Jamarr.
