Berean Christian Church has partnered as a coordinating entity with Henry County Government in the Henry County COVID-19 Non-Profit Assistance Program (“The Assistance Program”) to administer and distribute COVID-19 relief funds to Henry County residents impacted by COVID-19.
Through the Non-Profit Assistance Program, eligible applicants may receive relief funds to cover mortgage, rent, utilities, and motel/hotel extended stays. Additionally, relief funds are available for food, personal items, and other unforeseen financial/emergency needs.
Before starting your application, please prepare the following documents for upload:
- Proof of US Citizenship or Legal Residency – Must have ONE (1) of the following:
- Valid Driver’s License/State Issued ID or Passport or Military ID
- Must be valid – not expired
- Everyone over the age of 18 must have a valid ID
- Must match address on application
- Proof of Residency (Utility Bill, Lease, Mortgage/Rent Statement)
- Must be dated within 30 days
- Must match address on application
- Valid Driver’s License/State Issued ID or Passport or Military ID
- Proof of COVID-19 Impact (As of March 1, 2020) – Must have ONE (1) of the following:
- Official documentation that reflects:
- Reduced Hours/Layoff/Furlough/Termination Letter
- Pandemic Unemployment Letter
- Unemployment Benefits Letter (Related to &/or because of COVID-19)
- COVID Diagnosis (Positive)
- Hospitalization due to COVID-19 – Any proof of COVID-19 impact outside of the above list must be supported by documentation that shows the impact was related to and/or because of COVID-19.
- Official documentation that reflects:
- Proof of the Need
- Mortgage/Rent Verification of Amount Requested
- Mortgage/Rent Notice – For rent, this can be in the form of email/letter from landlord or verifiable documentation matching the amount requested
- Must be dated less than 30 days
- Utilities Verification of Amount Requested
- Bill or Disconnection Notice
- Must be dated less than 30 days
- Extended Stay/Hotel invoice if experiencing homelessness due to eviction
- Must see eviction notice
- Mortgage/Rent Verification of Amount Requested
At the end of the application you will be required to upload all documentation to prove your identity, your income, the loss of income caused by the pandemic. Your application will not be considered until all required fields and documents are submitted.
